Texas A&M University
Opening Fall, 2024

The RELLIS Data and Research Center (“RCDRC”) is a unique public – private development with Texas A&M University.  A data center directly affiliated with Texas A&M University. The data center will be built on the new RELLIS Campus located in College Station, Texas. The RELLIS Data and Research Center will offer cloud storage and outstanding managed services. The RELLIS Academy and Research Lab offers the ability for Texas A&M University to give real world data center experience to both students and faculty.

The  objective  is  to  build  out  a  public  private  partnership  that  is also beneficial scholastically.  For  many  years  the  technology  industry  has  seen  a  fluctuation  in  engineering  needs. RDRC  has  assembled  a  team  that  has  the  level  of  experience  and  expertise  required  to  not  only  build  a  world class  data  center  but  to  build  a  world  class  training  center  as  well.  Our  team  is  unanimously  committed  to  this objective.

Chancellor John Sharp’s Vision Becomes Reality

Texas A&M has been wanting to add a data center at its main campus in Bryan-College Station for many years.
With the development of the new 2,000 acre RELLIS Campus master plan that data center is now becoming a reality.

Chancellor John Sharp had the vision of establishing a state of the art data center with a significant educational component. This A&M System data center will provide classroom space for students pursuing degrees from the System’s regional campuses. These regional campuses will offer programs at RELLIS, such as Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Further, the facility will allow the A&M System to help the region by offering technical workforce training. Through an effort with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, or TEEX, the System will be able to leverage the data center facilities to provide certification programs to train people in information security, network engineering and other specialties.

RELLIS Data and Research Center
